Match pour le quart de final France / USA

To bring the excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games closer to Parisians and visitors, Paris has developed festive sites in each of its districts. These celebration zones – where the competitions will be broadcast – include iconic sites, known as “totemic” sites, which will embody the festive atmosphere while promoting the city’s core values of solidarity, equality and respect for the environment. Discover some of them in the heart of the capital.

A – La Fabrique de la Solidarité – 8 rue de la Banque, 75002 Paris

La Fabrique de la Solidarité, a centre for civic mobilisation, offers a varied, festive and inclusive programme on solidarity themes: the fight against poverty and exclusion, helping the elderly to maintain their autonomy, the inclusion of people with disabilities and the protection of children. From 2 July to 7 September, enjoy free events open to all: adaptive sports workshops for seniors, a forum for welcoming sports clubs, debates with Olympic and Paralympic refugee athletes and a solidarity ball.

B – Quartier Jeune – 4 Pl du Louvre, 75001 Paris

From 26 July to 7 September, Quartier Jeune will be transformed into QJOP, a must-visit destination celebrating the spirit of sport, creativity and inclusion during the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Discover a vibrant programme of activities, workshops, meet-ups and more. Join us for a rich experience and meet up-and-coming talent. The Games are coming to QJOP, so don’t miss the chance to be part of the adventure!

C – Paris Plage – Rives de Seine

A summer highlight for Parisians, Paris Plages will wear the colours of the Games in the summer of 2024, offering everyone the chance to enjoy the Olympic and Paralympic atmosphere of the capital. After the Opening Ceremony, Paris Plages will take over the banks of the Seine (right bank) and welcome visitors to enjoy the main sports and cultural activities of Paris Plages with mist sprayers, deck chairs and parasols set up along the quays.

D – La Terrasse des Jeux – Parvis de l’Hôtel de Ville

La Terrasse des Jeux is both a festive and a competitive site, allowing as many residents and visitors as possible to celebrate the Games together, free of charge. It will be open from 14 July to welcome the Olympic flame until 8 September 2024. With an elevated terrace for relaxation and dining, it offers a privileged view of iconic Paris: the sunset over the Seine, booksellers, heritage and Parisian monuments, including Notre-Dame. With two giant screens showing live competition, six sports and parasports training areas, and a stage for daily sporting, artistic, musical and cultural performances, La Terrasse des Jeux is in many ways the heart of the celebrations.

E – L’Académie du Climat – 2 Pl. Baudoyer, 75004 Paris

L’Académie du Climat continues its mission of raising awareness by challenging us to reinvent our practices and rise to the ecological challenge, all in a festive atmosphere! Individual and collective sport is currently facing the greatest test of all: the ecological crisis. Suffocating temperatures, water shortages or floods, increasingly polluted air… Yesterday’s sports are no longer possible in today’s world, let alone tomorrow’s. In response, the Academy is taking to the field to continue its mission, with the challenge of reinventing practices and meeting the environmental challenge for tomorrow’s games, all in a festive atmosphere. Hosting the JOP is an opportunity to involve as many people as possible in the transition, especially citizens who haven’t yet embraced ecology!

F – Cité Audacieuse – 9 rue de Vaugirard, 75006 Paris

From 29 July to 1 August, La Cité Audacieuse, a place dedicated to the promotion of women’s rights, invites you to share in the Olympic excitement with free festivities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Inclusive running workshops, yoga classes, self-defence sessions… La Cité Audacieuse is celebrating the Games with a host of free activities for everyone to take part in!
