Sam Parr (Founder of The Hustle – sold to Hubspot) is convinced that Oluwapelumi Dada deserves to be made famous on tech twitter
And here is what transpired, as told by Sam:
“I was on a run and this kid Oluwapelumi Dada stopped me. Was on his bike, chased me down, and was out of breath, ha!!
“He wanted to show me a new app he built. It’s called One Click Apply, and lets students apply to lots of jobs at once. He posted about it on his Linkedin. Went viral with 1,700 comments.
“He’s from Nigeria. Been here [in the US] for two years, for school. Said he interned at Tesla last summer and has an internship at @Dell this summer.
“Told me: ‘I wanna work on my One Click app this summer, instead of an internship, but can’t afford it.”
“Looks like he’s tinkering and making really cool apps + sharing with his tiny audience.
1. What a baller
2. These attributes (willingness to run me down to show me this, already make cool products) are what future ballers look like when young.
“If you wanna work with him, fund him, whatever…DM this kid. Seems very promising. His name is Oluwapelumi Dada.
“Hey Michael Dell, you should talk to Oluwapelumi”.
