Dickson Nsofor is CEO of Kora and Founder of The Curve – a software engineering academy whose mission is to teach tech skills to dwellers of disadvantaged communities in Lagos. Recently, Nsofor visited slums in Lagos, in the company of project partner, Prashant Matta (General Manager, Panache Ventures – Canada’s most active seed stage venture capital fund, with a strong angel investor track record).
Says Nsofor: “It was an absolute pleasure taking Prashant Matta to the slums in Lagos where our free programing school, The Curve Africa, is making real impact and changing lives by bringing road side mechanics and shopkeepers into TECH. Creating opportunities for all is our business, Panache Ventures and Kora are just the vehicle”.
In the very recent past, Matta had said : “They [The Curve] are turning shopkeepers into programmers! I loved the energy and the passion of the students. Awesome initiative and very proud of all the work Kora does in Nigeria. I have committed to facilitating a bootcamp next year :)”
