Akina Mama wa Afrika (AMwA) is on the lookout for bold and transformative stories that amplify the voices of African women and girls. We are seeking narratives that explore sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and their intersection with politics, civic space, economic justice, and climate justice.
They are particularly interested in untold, invisible, emerging, forgotten, or deliberately suppressed stories—narratives that educate, inspire, and drive change.
The organisation is offering 10-15 storytelling grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 to support impactful storytelling in any format—articles, podcasts, videos, short films, photo series, poetry, and more. Stories that explore the interconnections between SRHR, civic space, economic justice, and climate justice will be prioritised.
