Owned by businessman Stanley Uzochukwu, The Delborough Hotel Lagos was recently launched on Saturday, November 25, 2023 – presenting a five-storey, state-of-the-art hospitality haven, located at Plot 1502 Bishop Aboyade Cole Close, in Victoria Island.
Says Lagos state Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu: “I attended the grand opening of The Delborough Hotel in Lagos and witnessed its magnificent addition to our hospitality landscape. This opening showcases the vast opportunity to establish high value hospitality projects to cater to our local and increasing tourist population.”
Some of the high-level invitees to the event included Agbogidi Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe (the Obi of Onitsha); Aminu Ado Bayero (Emir of Kano); Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (former President of Nigeria); Charles Soludo (Governor of Anambra State, and former Central Bank Governor); Goodluck Jonathan (former Nigerian President); Anyim Pius Anyim (former Senate President); Allen Onyema (Chairman & Founder, Air Peace).
Governor Sanwo-Olu added: “The Delborough Hotel’s unveiling signifies more than a luxurious retreat—it’s a testament to our dedication to economic growth and emphasizes Lagos’ role in encouraging partnerships and stimulating investment.”
In 2011, Stanley Uzochukwu had also founded the Stanel Group Limited, an energy company specialising in the marketing and distribution of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) and Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK), for domestic and industrial use.
