June Angelides is a well-known advocate for more inclusive funding and representation in Venture Capital (VC), and is referred to as the ‘Olivia Pope of VC’ (or ‘The fixer’) because she loves to solve problems for founders.
Ms. Angelides grew up in Lagos, moved to the UK when she was 17 years old, and is mother to Adam, Ivy and Iris.
Having sat on both sides of the table as a founder and investor, June founded Levare Ventures in 2022 to invest in African startups, with the company already making seven investments into companies such as Chowdeck and Raenest. She is also an Angel investor into eight companies.
Supported by a strong network of advisors, Levare Ventures are best positioned to fund the most ambitious founders, building for large underserved markets. The company invests $25k to $100k at pre-seed/ seed.
