Africa’s social commerce market is rapidly expanding as businesses leverage platforms like WhatsApp. However, there are limitations on the continent around digital payments and delivery on such platforms.
Sukhiba has developed a B2B tool that lets companies reach and transact with customers directly within WhatsApp. Sellers can manage orders, accept mobile payments, send notifications and group buyers without leaving the app.
Says Ananth: “We have been meeting a few companies using WhatsApp for broadcasting purpose. While broadcasting is great, Ithink of it as a missed opportunity. As an e commerce/marketplace company you should be looking at converting conversations into sales and that’s where SUKHIBA comes in. We help brands move beyond pure broadcasting to features such as sending carts, loyalty points, purchasing products, scheduling deliveries and much more. We enable brands to create a new sales channel via WhatsApp.
So far, Sukhiba says it has enabled WhatsApp commerce for over 30 companies – mostly manufacturers and distributors serving approximately 15,000 small and medium enterprises. These sellers rely on Sukhiba to help sales teams expand their reach and gain new retailers as customers.
