The Agropreneur Award, an initiative of the Netherlands Embassy in Nigeria, was up for grabs, with three finalists in contention for the top spot: Agro Optimizer, East West Seed Nigeria, and DDEE Farms.
During a ceremony held in Lagos on March 27, 2024, at the Consulate-General in Lagos, Netherlands in Nigeria was thrilled to announce DDEE Farms – a major supply chain for products between farmers and companies – as winner.
Said the Embassy: ” After meticulously reviewing 20 nominations, each nominee showcased innovative solutions, sustainable practices, and impactful contributions to the Nigerian food system and society. Each nominee showcased the incredible potential within the agricultural sector.
“Amongst these outstanding contenders, it is with great honor that we congratulate DDEE FARMS as the recipient of this prestigious award! 🎉 Their remarkable achievements have truly set a new standard in agricultural excellence”.
The ceremony, hosted by Michel Deelen (Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Lagos, Nigeria), and facilitated by Inge Tenniglo (Agricultural Counsellor Ghana and Nigeria), brought together high-level agricultural stakeholders to celebrate the exceptional achievements of these entrepreneurs.
