Kevin Conroy (CEO &Co-founder, Bature Brewery) has announced that Bature Brewery – Nigeria’s first craft brewery – will be expanding by scaling its production by 500%, and positioning its taproom for an increase in space and experiences.

Bature Brewery took off from the nation’s capital, Abuja, in 2017 and now operates a brewery and taproom from Victoria Island in Lagos.

Says Conroy: “Bature Brewery has been a start-up in an economy dominated by large corporates; it has been a journey of passion, dedicated to crafting unique beers inspired by Nigerian flavours, culture 🇳🇬, and hustle”.

He also gives an insight into the brewery’s growth trajectory: “Despite Nigeria’s growing economy and increasing consumer spending power 💵, the craft beer market remains untapped 🚀. Bature Brewery has busted through unique infrastructural challenges 💪 and navigated complex bureaucracies to bring you our premium brews that surpass any other in the market 🥇. This expansion is about growing with our community 🤝 and continuing to innovate 🧪. We aim to change the beer scene in Nigeria, putting West Africa on the map for unique flavours and styles”.
