Ms. Aisha Babangida (Founder of non-governmental organization, Women Enterprise Alliance -WenA) congratulates one of the WenA SCALE Pitch Competition

WenA (Women Enterprise Alliance) is a non-governmental organization founded by Ms. Aisha Babangida to empower women through entrepreneurship, education, and financial inclusion. With a mission to strengthen women-led enterprises and foster sustainable livelihoods across Nigeria and beyond, WenA provides training, mentorship, and access to resources that help women build resilient businesses and achieve economic independence.

The recently-held WenA SCALE Pitch Competition showcased some of the most promising women-led businesses in North-Central Nigeria โ€” visionaries turning challenges into opportunities and ideas into thriving enterprises.

And the winners are:

Winner โ€“ Mrs. Rashidat Omeiza, CEO, Oyin Special @oyinespecialfish
A dynamic Nigerian agribusiness specializing in premium oven-dried catfish. From pond to package, Oyin Special delivers high-quality, hygienically processed fish that promote healthy living, celebrate Nigerian culture, and empower rural women and youth.

1st Runner-Up โ€“ Mrs. Abimbola Ayeni, CEO, Bimkaf Palace Nigeria Ltd. @bimkafpalacenigltd is an agro-processing powerhouse transforming local produce โ€” coconuts, spices, and flours โ€” into export-ready products that meet NAFDAC, HACCP, ISO, and FDA standards. Bimkaf is proudly advancing value addition, women empowerment, and export development.

2nd Runner-Up โ€“ Mrs. Ebele Molokwu, CEO, Uto Spices @utospices
Combining tradition with innovation, Uto Spices delivers healthy, flavourful, authentically Nigerian food products to local and international markets. Through partnerships with local women farmers, the brand upholds food safety, quality, and community empowerment.

The winners will receive grants dedicated to business equipment and scaling initiatives. WenA will be monitoring and evaluating their growth in the coming months, providing mentorship and sharing progress updates with our community.
