The Tiffany Amber brand, synonymous with luxury and sophistication, and one of Nigeria’s finest female-led fashion houses, was founded by Folake Akindele Coker 25 years ago.
In the past quarter of a century, Tiffany Amber has set trends and inspired countless young designers, turning the local fashion scene into a global conversation. And as the brand celebrates its silver jubilee, it does so the same year its founder and creative genius, Folake, turns 50.
Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was present at the 25th anniversary fashion show marking the two milestones, shared his thoughts (and photos):
Tiffany Amber’s 25th Anniversary Fashion Show celebrated not only the artistry and creativity of the fashion industry but also the incredible journey [the brand] has embarked on over the past 25 years.
The creative industry holds immense potential for our nation. If we come together to fully harness this potential, the creative sector could indeed become the next oil for our country. This industry is not just about fashion; it encompasses music, film, art, all of which contribute significantly to our economy and cultural identity.
By investing in and supporting our creative talents, we can pave the way for a prosperous future that thrives on innovation and creativity.
