The Stringer Foundation (TSF) define journalism broadly and welcome applications from creative practitioners across all public media forms — including writing, photography, film, public poetry, video, visual art, music, and theatre. TSF support those who use the public media to investigate abuses of power, expose injustices against the public, and uphold the truth.
At a time when truth is under attack and independent voices are threatened, the TSF global community stands together to sustain courageous storytelling and its positive impact on society.
The organisation hands out as much money as they raise, with their costs being generously covered by a donor — every dollar raised outside the endowment goes to journalists. The main aim of TSF is to provide grants between $10k-$100k depending on funds raised.
