The outcome of the HFN Women’s Forum Pitchathon, held during the 10th Anniversary Conference of the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria, was riveting.
Out of five outstanding pitches, these three teams rose to the top—not just because of their ideas, but because of their vision, execution, and potential for real-world impact: Code Red (revolutionising emergency care), HerAid, and MyDrugaida (prescription management) – each winning ₦500,000, ₦300,000, and ₦200,000 respectively.

Fola Akinrinlola (distinguished Nigerian healthcare professional, recognised as the country’s first cardiac physiologist, and Indirect Channels Director at GE HealthCare), who served as one of the Pitchathon judges, had this to say:
One of the greatest investments we can make in the future of healthcare is believing in young talent, amplifying their voices, and creating opportunities for them to lead. That is why serving as one of the judges during the 10th Anniversary Conference of the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria was such a privilege.
These young women are not waiting for permission to lead; they are stepping up, innovating, and tackling some of the most pressing healthcare challenges of our time. Their work is a testament to the power of bold thinking, relentless ambition, and the courage to challenge the status quo.
Why does this matter?Because visibility fuels ambition, when we amplify the achievements of young women in healthcare, technology, and leadership, we create a ripple effect of inspiration and opportunity. We show the next generation that their ideas are valid, their contributions are critical, and their leadership is needed.
To every young woman pushing boundaries in healthcare—we see you, we celebrate you, and we will continue to champion you. Your impact will shape the future of this industry, and I am honored to witness and support your journey.
The work is just beginning. Let’s continue to invest in, elevate, and empower the next generation of healthcare leaders.
