On April 18, 2024, leading African financial services provider, Coronation, is thrilled to announce a newborn initiative – the Coronation Women Initiative Network (Coronation WIN) – described by Ngozi Akinyele (Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Coronation) as ’embodying Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede’s visionary commitment to enable women to lead and succeed’.
Mr. Imoukhuede is Chairman of Coronation.
Throwing more light on the purpose of Coronation WIN, Akinyele reveals the objectives of the initiative as:
- Identifying and elevating talented women to lead
- Improving career development opportunities for women
- Increasing representation in senior management and key decision-making positions
- Recognising and celebrating the contributions of its women
- Tapping into the power of women leaders to drive success
- Developng a great workplace for women
To commemorate Coronation WIN, an unveiling ceremony fell into three distinct segments:
- A captivating, in-person tour of the Coronation WIN Hub
- A vibrant exhibition, showcasing African contemporary pieces at the Coronation Art Gallery
- A launch reception hosted by Joyce Daniels (exceptional event moderator), and featuring exhilarating performances by Wana Udobang and Femi Leye
In his address, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede emphasised the significance of the occasion, saying:
“Today marks a historic moment as we launch Coronation Women Initiative Network. Having witnessed first-hand the transformative power of female leadership, I am proud that Coronation is championing this path towards female empowerment. I urge women to set big and audacious goals for their professional growth, and I look forward to celebrating the collective impact and achievements of Coronation WIN”.
Wrapping up the the essence of Coronation WIN, Akinyele added:
“Coronation WIN is more than a program for women. It’s a crucial step towards creating a sustainable ecosystem where every individual, regardless of gender, has equal opportunities to thrive.
