Abuja & Lagos, Nigeria… Nigeria is fast emerging as Africa’s digital powerhouse, with government initiatives, global tech leaders, and startups fueling its ambition for a US$1 trillion economy by 2030.
From 1–4 September 2025, the inaugural GITEX Nigeria will unite top decision-makers across technology, government, and industry. The event, held under the patronage of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and supported by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE), will span Abuja and Lagos, showcasing opportunities in AI, digital infrastructure, and startup innovation.
Day one (September 1) kicks off in Abuja with a high-level Government Leadership & AI Summit to forge a united future for international leaders driving the growth of digital infrastructure, AI, and innovation.

The GITEX Nigeria programme then transitions to Lagos, headlining across two locations from 3-4 September. The Eko Hotel Convention Centre hosts the GITEX Nigeria Tech Expo & Future Economy Conference, while the Landmark Centre welcomes the GITEX Nigeria Startup Festival. Combined, it will be West Africa’s largest gathering of technology visionaries, industry leaders, and decision-makers overseeing digital transformation of non-tech sectors.
The event runs with support from partners AWS, Cisco, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Kaspersky, Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Federal Ministry of Youth Development and Space42, alongside the UNDP’s Timbuktoo Initiative spotlighting Africa’s startup ecosystem.

Government leaders and industry voices highlight the significance:
