In a bid to support small businesses navigating unreliable power supply, Azimuth Solar partnered with Numeris Media to launch a community-focused renewable energy initiative—offering an 18-inch Infini Solar rechargeable AC/DC fan to an entrepreneur within its network.
The campaign, designed to help business owners “climb the renewable energy ladder,” called on entrepreneurs to share how access to consistent, off-grid cooling would improve their operations. The initiative underscores a growing push toward practical, entry-level clean energy solutions for micro and small enterprises.

After reviewing submissions, the winning entry was awarded to Odili Helen Oluchukwu, founder of Herick Kiddies World—a Nasarawa-based business dedicated to providing essential baby products and delivery items for new and expectant mothers.
In her application, Oluchukwu highlighted the pressing challenge of heat and poor ventilation in her store, particularly during the current hot season. With a customer base largely made up of pregnant women and new mothers, the lack of a reliable fan has made the shopping experience uncomfortable and, at times, discouraging.
Expressing hope that the solar-powered fan would create a more relaxed and welcoming environment, Ms. Oluchukwu wrote:
Our store space is small, so accommodating our customers without a fan has been a very big problem for us.
The 18-inch Infini Solar rechargeable AC/DC standing fan, which delivers 26 hours of continuous service on a single charge, can operate both on electricity and stored solar power, is expected to significantly improve in-store comfort—independent of grid electricity—enhancing both customer experience and daily operations.
This initiative reflects a broader movement toward accessible renewable solutions for grassroots entrepreneurs, where even modest interventions can deliver meaningful impact.
Congratulations to Helen!
