As a co-founder, the journey of building Cargoplug has been an incredible ride. Yet, it’s important to recognise that amidst the highs, there have been moments of doubt and uncertainty.

We’ve encountered numerous setbacks along our journey, and this year has been no exception, it’s been an intense 2 months. From the challenges of fluctuating currency values to unexpected increases in customs fees, we’ve faced our fair share of obstacles 😣😖.

Running a business, especially in times like these, isn’t for the faint-hearted. But we’ve learned that adaptability is the key to survival in the ever-changing landscape of business.

For fellow entrepreneurs in Nigeria, here are some strategies to navigate through these uncertain times:

– Diversify your offerings: Introduce new products or services that resonate with your customers’ current financial realities.

– Cut costs wisely: Negotiate contracts, trim unnecessary expenses, and explore more cost-effective marketing avenues like social media.

– Prioritize customer loyalty: Offer incentives for repeat business and provide stellar customer service to build lasting relationships. Personalized communication goes a long way in setting your business apart.

At Cargoplug, we’re not just about surviving; we’re thriving despite the challenges. We’ve expanded our services to include affordable sea freight options, making international trade more accessible. We’ve noticed that in times of economic strain, clients are more price-sensitive and willing to wait a bit longer for cost-effective shipping solutions.

Our mission is to facilitate cross-border trade, contributing to economic growth and resilience in Nigeria and beyond.

To all entrepreneurs out there facing tough times, remember, you’re not alone. Stay focused, stay true to your path, and keep pushing forward. As the saying goes, “A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.”
