Non-profit microfinance organisation, FINCA International, is calling on African social entrepreneurs who share FINCA’s steadfast commitment to ending global poverty, to apply for the FINCA Ventures Prize.
The FINCA Ventures Prize, which awards grants of up to US$70,000 is targeted at entrepreneurs with bold visions, disruptive business models, and new products or technologies that can create meaningful impact for poor and low-income people in developing markets, in the agriculture and health sectors.
Grants will be awarded in a total of four categories .
Through this competition, FINCA seeks to elevate awareness among donor and investor networks of the powerful potential to catalyze startups seeking to deliver impactful and scalable solutions to poor and low-income customers.
The contest will culminate in a March 2024 event in Washington DC, which will feature in-person pitch presentations by the finalists to a jury, followed by a celebration of the top winners.
The application deadline is December 15, 2023
