In this third iteration of its now expanded, Nigeria, one of the continent’s three biggest economies, holds three of the top 10 spots, with OmniRetail (eCommerce), Moniepoint (Fintech, Financial Services & Insurance), and Afex Commodities Exchange (Nigeria’s first licensed private commodities exchange) in the first, fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

The FT survey was compiled by Statista, a leading research company renowned for its insight into African companies’ actual performance, in a rigorous screening process.

In this survey, companies are ranked based on 2019-2022 data by (i) their absolute growth rate of revenues and (ii) their compound annual growth rate (CAGR).
