Founder of Chezie, Toby Egbuna, has secured over $310k in grant funding – just capital to grow his company – from Google, Amazon Web Services (AWS), NPR, and a host of other partners, without having to give up any equity or board seats.
He has boiled it down to a simple framework, which he summarises as ‘CLEAR‘
1. Clarify your purpose – Figure out how to explain what you’ll do with the money.
2. Log common responses – Build a database of responses to commonly asked questions.
3. Explore opportunities – Find grant opportunities via trusted sources.
4. Apply strategically – Apply to the grants that are a good fit for you as a founder and for your company.
5. Rinse and repeat!
Toby will be hosting a free webinar on February 12, 2025 where he will dive into the details:
I’m building a comprehensive course to help underrepresented founders secure grant funding using this exact framework.
But first, I’m hosting a free workshop on February 12th where I’ll break down the most crucial step:
Clarifying your purpose.
You’ll learn:
• The # 1 question grant reviewers care about
• How to frame your “why” to stand out
• My template for milestone-based responses
• Real examples from winning applications
If you download my grant tracker, I’ll email you the link to the webinar: https://lnkd.in/eGckBzgxRepost 🔄 this for a founder who could use some equity-free funding.
