25 November 2025 — The British High Commission in Nigeria, in partnership with Manufacturing Africa, hosted an Investor Night spotlighting six innovative Nigerian startups from the UK-funded Green Business Building (GBB) Accelerator Programme. Following 16 weeks of intensive business development support and mentorship, the startups pitched their sustainable manufacturing solutions to a room of potential investors.
The featured green ventures span a broad range of climate-friendly industries, including renewable energy, recycling, organic agriculture, and electric mobility.

The startups — GreenSpace Recycling, Sirius-X Energy, Auxano Solar, Taeillo, ZOOMe, and Veggie Victory — presented compelling business models and investment opportunities to venture capitalists, impact investors, and sustainability-focused ecosystem players. The pitching session marked a defining milestone on their path to securing funding and strategic partnerships.
Designed as a pitch-den-style event, the evening featured engaging presentations showcasing innovative, environmentally conscious business models with strong potential for scale and long-term economic and environmental impact. Participating businesses received immediate, constructive feedback from funders — including potential funding offers.
Distinguished attendees included Jonny Baxter, UK Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, alongside other High Commission representatives, prominent investors, and key stakeholders from Nigeria’s growing sustainable business ecosystem.

The GBB Accelerator is structured to catalyse investment in Nigeria’s green industrial transformation, reinforcing the UK and Nigeria’s shared commitment to scaling high-potential small businesses that drive economic growth and generate jobs across emerging green sectors.
Simon Field, Deputy Head of Mission, British Deputy High Commission in Lagos, said:
“Manufacturing is Nigeria’s future — and these businesses show how it can also be greener, more inclusive, and globally competitive. I have nothing but confidence in the programme we’re funding. Every pitch tonight was professional, inspiring, and full of ambition.”

Kemi Onabanjo, Manufacturing Africa Nigeria Country Lead, added:
“Tonight was all about celebrating progress and creating profitable connections. We are celebrating the journey these incredible founders have made through the GBB programme, as well as the impact they are already driving. It was also about creating connections that bridge the gap between innovation and investment — linking promising ventures with the capital, networks, and partners they need to scale.”
The founders expressed strong appreciation for the programme:
Jumoke Dada, CEO, Taeillo:
“GBB is hands-on — they take the heavy lifting off you and help you execute. We now have real clarity on our next steps and a plan we can run with.”
Adedayo Odunlami, CEO, ZOOMe:
“The level of diligence and attention to detail from the team was world-class. They’ve helped us evolve — as a business and as founders — and connected us to an incredible network.”
