Between Friday, June 14 and Monday, June 17, 2024 Ecobank Nigeria will be hosting the third edition of its ‘Adire Lagos Experience’ exhibition.

The event takes place at the Ecobank Pan African Centre (EPAC), located in Victoria Island, Lagos – featuring authentic Adire fabric displays from over 100 diverse merchants, indigenous cuisine, African entertainment, various themed masterclasses, and an exceptional opportunity to network with entrepreneurs, shoppers, and everyone in the business of making or trading in Adire.

Adire Lagos Experience 2024 – an exhibition celebrating the vibrant colours of the Adire fabric. It is a journey into the heart of Nigerian tradition, culture and heritage, where every thread tells a story

The Adire textile is a type of dyed cloth from South West Nigeria traditionally made by Yoruba women, using a variety of resist-dyeing techniques. The word ‘Adire’ originally derives from the Yoruba words ‘adi’ which means to tie and ‘re’ meaning to dye. It is a material designed with wax-resist methods that produce patterned designs in dazzling arrays of tints and hues.
