Google is opening applications for its 2027 internship programmes, giving students opportunities to gain hands-on experience at one of the world’s leading technology companies — with paid placements and no application fee.
The opportunities span fields including software engineering, data science, research, hardware engineering and site reliability, with positions available across several countries and regions. Current listings include the United States, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan, among others.
Internships typically run for 12–17 weeks and allow students to work on real Google projects alongside experienced teams. The company describes its internships as opportunities to develop technical and professional skills while contributing to products and systems used by millions or billions of people.
The internships are paid. For example, Google’s current 2027 US Software Engineering Intern listing gives a stated annualised pay range of US$98,000–$131,000, while European compensation varies by country and degree level.
Students should note that eligibility, location and deadlines vary by internship. One current US Software Engineering Intern, BS, Summer 2027 opportunity is open to students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in computer science or related fields, with applications expected to remain open until September 25, 2026, although Google says positions may close earlier.
Google does not charge applicants a fee to apply. Students should apply only through Google’s official careers platform and should be wary of anyone requesting payment in connection with a Google internship application.
For ambitious students seeking international work experience, the 2027 internships offer an opportunity to learn, earn and work on technology at global scale.
